Despite the fact that it will create some "jobs and business opportunities", that they are sure to tout, it won't likely be offset by the imported inflation. . I also sincerely doubt that it will provide much opportunity for local resident entrepreneurs/businesses...my guess is that most of the benefits will go to companies outside of Wai'anae. . Between further traffic congestion and over-tourism...it's another over-burdening. . Personally, I think this is a step towards the so-called #gentrification of the Westside that will make it unaffordable for most in the long-run. . I'll keep an open mind till I hear what the proposals are.
