I think that most would agree that we do sometimes miss the convenience of our lives back at home; but if we don’t make sacrifices, we can’t expect change to occur. And if we give up now, what message are we sending to the government and large cooperations? That we allow them to take away our cultural and religious rights? That we as Hawaiian’s don’t matter? That our Āina does not matter? NO. We can’t give them that satisfaction. We must stand up and fight for what’s right. It may not matter to them, but it definitely matters to us.
