FOOD FOR THOUGHT! As a graffiti artist I’m beyond happy for the ruling in their favor but as a Kanaka I’m both upset and frustrated about the blurred lines of cultural consideration. My point being is that I personally brought a stone from my grandmothers home to the Ahu up at Mauna Kea because as tradition it represented my Ohana at my new home in Moku o Keawe and during what I feel was a racially targeted form of desecration the BLNR came in the early morning hours and destroyed it all because of the plans to try and develop a thirty meter telescope financed by foreign corporations up on Our beloved and sacred Mauna Kea and its not that I want money for this hurtful act of disrespect to all in opposition of this development, it’s more about accountability in hopes to further discourage these types of racial disrespect to us as a people. What are your guys thoughts on this? #protectmaunakea #puuhuluhulu #farmersmarkethawaii #brokenhardened
