A little over a year ago I opened @i_i_mmaacademy for the purpose of teaching kids to stand up for themselves. Bullying and standing up to bullies is an issue that hits close to home to me. Alot of the kids I took in I gave full (yes they train for free as long as they come and put in the work) or partial scholarships Growning up on maui as I kid I wish I had the money or opportunity to do something like this. just starting out a few of my sponsors were very gracious @sanabul @mikebisping @rvcasport @pmtenore @dahuiofficial @punishment99 @titoortiz1999 @moyabrand @sua_attorney and helped out. Look a year later at these same kids who either came here just to learn confidence or learn how to stand up for themselves. So grateful for the people who saw the vision of why I was doing this and to these kids who all started off shy n quiet but now showing me that inner strength and confidence my goal day 1 to bring out. Some people would say why are u doing it if u not making money to them I would say what I get doing this brings me more than getting rich. Also mahalo to my loyal adults that pay to train because u all make it possible to sustain the gym so these kids can still come. Not only do they work hard on the mats majority of them fundraise their own tournament fees so they are able to do them so Mahalo to the people who show them love whenever you see them fundraising helping them out...
